Also Known As Harper by Ann Haywood LealMy review
rating: 3 of 5 starsI know you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but there was something about the front of this this one that told me everything I needed to know: family down on its luck, daughter talented, somehow it works out somewhat in the end. And I was right - the story takes place over the span of about a week, a week in which Harper's family gets evicted from their home and then the motel room they're in, a week in which Harper finds a new friend, and a week in which their lives without Daddy finally start.
Not a bad book, but, well...
